Dear Torah To-Go Readers,
The Jewish calendar designates the third, fourth, and fifth days of Sivan as a time of great significance. These days, known as shloshet yemei hagbalah (three days of preparation), hold deep meaning as we commemorate the Jewish people's commitment to spiritual and personal growth in preparation for receiving the Torah at Sinai. By setting up a boundary around the mountain (hagbalah) and engaging in ritual preparations, the Jews readied themselves to receive the Torah.
As we approach this year’s shloshet yemei hagbalah, which falls out on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday May 22-24, we are delighted to introduce an exciting new learning series called "Torah To Grow." For each day, we are providing a thought-provoking growth challenge accompanied by curated study guides and learning materials.
We sincerely hope that the “Torah To Grow” learning experience will enhance your Shavuot preparation and elevate your readiness for accepting the Torah.
With warmest wishes for a Chag Sameach,
Rabbi Ari Rockoff
