Memorial for Rabbi Pesach Oratz (z"l)

The Faculty, administration and students of Stern College for Women invite you to attend an evening of remembrance and introspection to mark the passing of Rabbi Pesach Oratz (z”l). After teaching for many years at the James Striar School of Yeshiva University, Rabbi Oratz (z”l) came to teach at Stern College where he served as a senior member of the Jewish Studies faculty for more than 30 years. The thousands of students whom he taught and inspired at these schools and in other formal and informal educational settings, are an integral part of his lasting legacy. Yeshiva College Dramatics Society presents Of Mice and Men

This year the Yeshiva College Dramatics Society is performing the stage version of the famous novel Of Mice and Men, an entertaining drama by Nobel Prize-winning author John Steinbeck. This is Professor Lin Snider’s eighth production as director at Yeshiva University. Tickets are available to alumni for $5 and can be purchased by contacting the Box Office Manager, Eli Sasson, at

Making Our Tefillot More Meaningful and Personal

The Orthodox Union’s Department of Community Services in conjunction with Yeshiva University Center for the Jewish Future will present a communal Symposium on “Making Our Tefillot More Meaningful and Personal ” featuring Rabbi Moshe Weinberger of Congregation Aish Kodesh, Rabbi Mayer Twersky, Rosh Yeshiva, RIETS, Yeshiva University, and Rabbi Eli Monsour, of the Sephardic Congregation Bet Yaakob. The symposium will take place, Sunday Morning, December 6, from 9:45am to 11:45am at DRS High School, 700 Ibsen Street in Woodmere. Admission is free to the entire community.
