DESCRIPTION:Yeshiva University alumni are invited to attend the 85th AnnualHanukkah Dinner and Convocation at the Waldorf=Astoria. The HanukkahDinner and Convocation is the preeminent event of the year for theYeshiva University Community. It provides a unique opportunity tocelebrate the advancements of the past year throughout the Universityand to honor the achievements of the distinguished recipients ofhonorary degrees. This year, we are looking forward to hearing from Dr.Lawrence H. Summers, Director of the National Economic Council andSpecial Assistant to President Barack Obama, who will deliver theConvocation address and receive an honorary degree. 

The Hanukkah Dinner and Convocation is also a vital source of thescholarship funds that enable deserving students to pursue a Yeshivaeducation. As alumni, you know first-hand the rigor of a dualeducational program and can easily understand, in these challengingeconomic times, the financial commitment necessary to provideexcellence in both liberal arts and Jewish education. More than ever,scholarship support is critical to keep YU accessible and to continueto improve the YU experience.
